Animal ID: Magic (Olympia WA)Magic (Olympia WA) (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Teaching Magic that toys are good, shoes bad, and that bones taste better than If you are looking for a puppy that's as sweet as sugar, then Magic is your boy. He loves to be in your lap, or cuddled up beside you in bed. He's gotta few puppy behaviors still lingering, but he's a very good boy. It only took him a couple of days to adjust to his foster home. I don't know how he is with cats. He can be around kids, probably 10 and up would be best. It's just that he has this adorable little desire to give you a love nibble once in awhile. He loves playing with dogs his size. He is quiet when crated. He's neutered, vaccinated and ... (Read More)chipped. Estimated to be around 1, but not quite 2. Spitz (Samoyed)/Golden mix is best guess. Looking for someone that can give him the attention and time that he deserves, so he can blossom into being a great doggie companion. Maybe someone that works from home or is retired, but involved in some sort of outreach program with children or seniors. He really desires a lot of human contact. I truly think that Magic has the ability to be a real super star. Live long and foster! To inquire about adopting Magic send your email to (Less)

Animal ID: C-1003Tank (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind

Tank is a distinguished older gentleman that is sure to steal your heart. He is blind but he doesn't let that stop him from holding the door for you, well as long as you show him where it is! He walks great on a leash and listens and responds well to voice commands. No one has told tank that he's a 'senior' dog so he is oblivious to this fact. He is still extremely youthful in his play and enjoys playing with a ball. Tank loves doting on children of all ages and plays well with other dogs his size, but cats are just too exciting for this big guy. One of Tank's favorite things to do is pretend he's a lapdog and he enjoys having you run ... (Read More)your fingers through his soft tufts of wispy hair. Tank is searching for a loving adopter to give him the life he deserves! Tank is a 9-year-old, 93 pound St. Bernard/Golden Retriever Mix. His adoption fee is $50.00 and includes current vaccinations, neuter, microchip, free veterinary exam, food sample, leash, collar and toy'|a ball of course! (Less)

Animal ID: Bogy (Seattle WA)Bogy (Seattle WA) (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Vaccinations Current

Hi there, I'm Bogy and I'm going to tell you my story so that you can understand the kind of family I will need to help me be the best dog I can be. The man that brought me and my friend home with him was very kind and fun and he gave us a good home. However, the woman didn't like dogs much I guess, cuz when the man left, she didn't do anything at all with us. I was left in a small kennel for about three years, only getting out occasionally when other people came over and would play with us. Unfortunately, I have a lot of energy I need to release, and I haven't been taught how to do this very well. I like to run and jump, sometimes on humans ... (Read More)cuz I get so excited, but I'm starting to learn some of my manners, but I need someone that will have the patience to work with me and teach me proper manners. I'm only about 4 years old, I weigh about 60 pounds, our guess is that I'm a saint bernard/retriever/something cross. I have a couple of quirks - I'm scared of men in hats, I like to go for rides in the car, but over passes freak me out. I'm neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. I can't be around cats, but I do get along with other dogs, preferably around my size. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I think once I get into a stable environment, I will be your very best friend. Journey Home Rescue is asking for a $350 donation. If you would like to be my new best friend, email and they'll send you an application to complete, ask for Bogy. (Less)

Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
