Rescue Me ID: 17-01-15-00415Jackson (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Jackson is a beautiful dog. He is healthy, up to date on shots, and microchipped. He is 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Jackson has some issues with anxiety, which are compounded by being in a home with small children, and with owners who are not able to give him the exercise and stimulation he needs and deserves. Jackson's ideal home will be with older retired dog lovers who own their own home with a big, securely fenced yard, and have lots of time to spend with him. A country setting would be ideal for Jackson. He can be wary of male strangers, but is fine when carefully introduced. He is a super sweet, very pretty dog that just ... (Read More)needs a home with people who understand him, and who have the right environment where he will feel safe and happy. If you are interested in offering Jackson a loving home, please get in touch. (Less)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Vaccinations Current

Meet Scout! He is a happy boy! He strayed into a home with five dogs, and got along just fine with them! He likes children and all adults, but also is a good watch dog, as he does bark when people come to the house. He knows some basic commands. I don't know that he is house trained, but he is old enough to pick that up quickly. He comes when called and is not interested in chasing my goats. He is a nice boy!! He is scheduled for vetting on Jan. 23, but that can be moved up if his adoption requires it! Contact me if you want to learn more about Scout!

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-18-00410Wally (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Wally is uber sweet and loving, and knows how to sit but he does need some other training and he is potty trained! He likely will do good in a home that is very active and/or with a family who has another big, active dog to help burn his energy. He likely would be best with a female We aren't sure how he will be with cats. He might do fine living with another male, in playing with dogs he doesn't live with he has done great with all dogs who are large enough to handle his energy but living in a home we believe best for him not to be placed with any dominant males. Wally is a beautiful, big dog at 63 pounds. He may be a golden mixed with lab ... (Read More)or ? and has lots of energy to keep up with you or any other active dog that is in the house! He's got a great golden red color with a fluffy tail that curls over his body. He's now in foster in Olympia, WA and will be beginning to get some the one on one training and play time that will help his development into an even better dog! Wally has an adoption fee of $250 which covers is neuter, vaccinations, rabies, dhhp shots (3) health certificate and microchip and his HW test. If you are interested in meeting sweet wonderful Wally. he loves children too, but might knock a small child/toddler over in his exuberance but has never shown any aggressiveness whatsoever. PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Washington
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
