Rescue Me ID: 14-12-20-00342Toby (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Toby is a 2 year old, 65 pound Golden Retriever mix we rescued 6 months ago. He was previously tied on a chain outside for his entire life. Because he was never properly socialized, he is fear aggressive towards other dogs. We have been taking him to specialized training and he is getting a little better. He is very smart and picks up on commands easily. He is housebroken. He also needs to be trained further on more in the house rules- he destructively chews and will counter surf. Toby needs someone who has the time and energy to train him to be a good canine citizen. He loves running and going on hikes with me.

Meet 'Fin' He is a handsome 8 month old neutered Duck toll retriever, Basenji Boarder Collie mix. Fin is current on all vaccines and microchipped. Fin is a special guy who is going to require a adult only, dog savvy home with no other animals. He has a high prey drive, is food protective and needs supervision if around any other animals. No off leash dog parks for this guy. Fin is currently enrolled with a trainer to establish boundaries, confidence and self control. He is making progress daily. He has a very sweet and wiggly puppy way about him and treat motivated. I can play fine with other dogs my size or larger with out food, bones or ... (Read More)toys and must be supervised. I can get excited and dominant with other dogs. Supervised play is a must. I am still a puppy in a sense. I am friendly and like adults. I can not be around small dogs, or cats. I have a health certificate, and tested heart worm negative. I am a sturdy guy weighing 20 lbs. I am not too small and not too big! I would make a great running, jogging or hiking friend. I will need basic obedience training and your dedication to train me. I am a shelter dog. I have been living my life in a cell so potty training needs to be part of my program. I am smart and will catch on super fast. I would make a great family member or companion to a person without other pets or kids. I was saved from a bad shelter in CA and was on my last 12 hrs of life. I am very lucky to be alive. I am handsome, healthy, and looking for my forever home that will dedicate to training me and love me. My past history is unknown. I was dumped at a high kill shelter, and thankfully saved by 6 Dogrees Rescue. I can't talk to tell you my story but all that matters is I am happy to be looking forward to my new home! I have allot of love to give to the right situation. I will benefit from continued positive training. Adoption application can be submitted at www.6dogrees.com Adoption fee: 475.00 Note: 6 dogrees Rescue saves dogs that were slated for euthanasia due to over breeding, lack of funding, and over crowded CA high kill shelters. Rescue Me ID: 14-12-12-00273Eevee (female)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Malnourished,
 Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

Eevee is about 1 yr old. we got her from a young guy a few days ago who had been displaced and could not have her anywhere he could afford to live. She is not very well trained. she KNOWS sit, lay down, and shake but DOING them is a different story. She barks when playing-she is just talking but that talking also turns into back talk when you tell her no. she is go-go-go and constantly wants to play. i would suggest her going to a home where she is the only dog because other dogs get tired. and like sleeping. she is REALLY skinny. not sure if its the 'lab thing' or not getting enough food at her previous home. she needs time. and training. ... (Read More)and love, she needs a lot of love. she is skiddish and will role on her back if she thinks shes in 'trouble' or you go to pet her. she doesnt bite out of fear she play bites. coming in the house is scary for her she pulls and doesnt understand 'come'. she likes being picked up(like you do with a LITTLE puppy). she is so sweet but a handful and needs A LOT. would probably (eventually) make an amazing bird dog for hunting. looking to adopt out to someone who will really give her her 'furever' in a LOVING, TRAINING home. she deserves it. Rescue Me ID: 14-11-10-00855MAXIMUS - pwb (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This handsome and confident pup is Maximus. He and his siblings were saved in the nick of time from a high kill shelter. Although Maximus can be wary of the people, his curiosity will take him over to investigate should they have something delicious in their hands or pockets. Currently Maximus is happier playing with the other pups and venturing out into the big dog side of the rescue, than being the pup that wants lots of love - but he does make sure that he gets his share of loving, just normally after he has satisfied his curiosity. Maximus is neutered, up to date on vacs, and chipped. Because Maximus has spent most of his life in ... (Read More)rescue he will need a little bit more time to adapt to humans, but once settled in with his family he will adjust really quickly. We are looking for that loving family in the PNW and will transport Maximus there via Paws Without Borders. His adoption fee of $350 includes transport. You can find more information, pictures and an adoption application on our website www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org ~Thanks for checking out our dear Maximus.~ (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-21-00196Mira (female)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Beautiful Mira is a country girl! This beautiful, 2ish yr old girl weighs about 65-70lbs. She's very sweet with her own people and is very well mannered in the home, but she takes some time to warm up to those she does not know. She's a bit on the insecure side so she needs a confident, assertive person to let her know all things are in control so there's nothing for her to worry about. She does not do well in the high-energetic city settings so must have calmer, country home in which she has plenty of room to run and play. She's really a very sweet, absolutely gorgeous girl that gets along great with other smaller, gentle tempered ... (Read More)dogs. Actually, she'd do best with another easy-going dog in the home to help her become more confident. She will do best in an adult only home, or kids must be over 16yrs old... and no cats for this girl. PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Washington
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
