Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed

Koda Approx age is 2 yrs old. weights about 65lbs. Koda was a surrender previously adopted and then returned. I have no other info on her. Please call the CAS directly to inquire about Koda.. From what I saw of her when taking pictures of the dogs she seemed very docile and loving. She wasn't barking or overly excitable. I think she would make a great addition to any family environment. She is currently adoptable. I was told the Fee for adoption here at CAS starts at $95 and goes down based on what the animal already has done. The $95 covers the cost of spaying, shots etc. PLease rescue her and give her a decent life.

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Please share in hopes we can find this dog a foster home ASAP! He needs to be able to lay on a soft bed and not in a kennel! LONGER TERM FOSTER STILL NEEDED! Chuck is an 8-10 year old golden retriever/collie mix who came to us from Pittsylvania County and tested heart worm positive. We have now discovered that he will need FHO (hip surgery) as well. Our vet recommends that we first treat the heart worm as planned which will be in Feb. then plan for the surgery in early spring. Chuck needs a foster home without a lot of steps/things for him to jump off of. And we will send him a nice dog bed to rest his hips on! Chuck is a very nice boy. We ... (Read More)have seen a bit of testiness with other large male dogs when he first arrived but may be fine in a home. Can anyone foster him? He is currently in boarding and we would like to get him out ASAP! Apply to foster and help us save a life! (Less)

Is anybody out there looking for a one and a half year old, beautiful Retriever-American Staffordshire Terrier mix? All dogs here at the shelter are my friends, I like everything and everybody, but I'm terribly sad here at he shelter. Being enthusiastic, I enjoy to be with people, cuddle, sweet talk and play with other dogs. I listen to every word people say to me desperately hoping some day someone will take me home. What I really need now is gentle care, a lot of love and someone to teach me right from wrong in a loving, patient way. Please have time for me I don't want to be alone anymore. To meet me, please call 804-695-7772.

Hi, I'm one and a half years old but I look much younger due to neglect. The people at the shelter tell me I'm a smart, sweet, medium energy little girl, I'm eager to learn and I try to do everything right. When people talk to me I love to listen to their words patiently and try to figure out what is expected of me. More than playing with other dogs, I like to be around people to watch them and learn from them, but I get along with all dogs big or small. So far I've learned 'heel' and I'm very good at it, I can do 'sit', down' and I also do 'roll over'. If you would enjoy to teach me more nice doggie behavior that I get praised for and if ... (Read More)you'd like to give me a FOREVER home so we could cuddle, please call 804-695-7772 so we can meet soon I really need to know where I belong! (Less)
