Shepherd & Golden Retriever Mix~Adult~ Male~ Large~ located at Carroll County Humane Society, McKenzie, TN Bo is a super sweet 4 year old shepherd mix who was an owner surrender. He is the most calm, gentle, sweet, well behaved pooch ever! He is 74 pounds and heartworm negative, current on vaccines, and has been neutered. We are hoping that his age won't make it hard for him to find a place to crash because he really is a very, very, very good dog. He was an 'outside' dog at his previous home, but he will NOT do his business in his kennel and will hold it until he can get outside. Bo has nice manners - no jumping which is good for a big ...     This is Hans, a beautiful brown hound mix with long soft ears.He is a stray that wandered up with another dog to some nice people house. He likes long walks and catching moles. He doesn't like the leash, but he stays very close without it so a fenced yard would be required for him. He is good with other dogs and is happy for them to be the leader. He has only recently discovered that he really likes peoples laps. He's about a year old and weighs 32 pounds. He makes these little noises like he is talking to you. He greets you in the mornings and when it is feeding time. He is a very smart boy. Hans is looking for a forever home that is right ... (Read More)for him. (Less)

Boscoe is a very fine fellow that has had a rough time. He was found as a stray and was in a wonderful foster home, but the foster's home was tragically hit by a tornado and although Boscoe was alright, he took a long time to get over the ordeal emotionally. He is very sweet and loving and attaches himself to his caregiver very strongly. He needs a patient loving person that can give him the time and love that his so richly deserves.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Tennessee
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
