Rescue Me ID: 15-07-28-00859Sydney (female)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Hi my name is Sydney. I am a 2 year old mixed breed. I weigh about 45 pounds and I am full grown. I use to have a family and when they didn't want me anymore they took me to a kill shelter. That isn't the worst part, the shelter was closing and told them to come back he following day. They wanted me gone so bad that when they pulled away from the shelter they tossed me out the window and drove away. Luckily I wasn't hurt and a rescue took me in. Now I am in a loving foster home while I wait for the perfect family. My foster mom doesn't understand why they dumped my. I'm great! I am house broken, crate trained, good with other dogs and I ... (Read More)love, love, love children of all sizes. I am not high energy at all, I am happy doing what ever you are and I make a great snuggle buddy. I am also up to date on all of my vaccinations, spay and I have a micro chip. All I need now is you so please visit www,soardoggyrescue.org to fill out an adoption application for me. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-01-00053Captain (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

I found Captain on 5/16/17 on an island at the lake. He was very thin, intact, matted but friendly. I posted flyers and notified shelters with no luck of finding his owners. He has since been neutered and vaccinated. He will be beginning heartworm treatment soon. Captain is dog selective but does appear to do better with female dogs. He does not do well with cats. He is a sweet boy that needs a forever home! He loves his humans. Captain would do great as an indoor/put door pet or would do great roaming a farm or land. Please contact me with any questions.

Hello, I am needing to re-home my Golden retriever/Corgi mix to a good home ASAP. Due to my circumstances I just don't have enough time for him. He is 4 1/2 years old and does well with other animals, including cats. He is good with kids as well. He weighs about 25 pounds, and is more corgi in size. He is NOT neutered, and is blind. That does not take away from him being a wonderful, smart, loyal, and loving dog. He gets around just fine. He is completely house trained and I have had no issues with him being a barker. I am asking a 30$ firm re-homing fee. He's a very sweet boy. Please find it in your heart to give this guy a chance. Serious ... (Read More)inquiries ONLY! I've had too many people back out, so please do not waste my time! I just want to find him a loving home. Thank you! (Less)

Beauty is a caramel colored Great Pyrenees mix female who is about a year old who was left at an abandoned building in north Alabama. She had been hanging out there being fed by the neighbors for several months somehow avoiding being hit on the highway nearby. Beauty is a sweet and beautiful girl who weighs 83 pounds. Lucky for her, she has been in a foster home for several months now and is UTD on shots, spayed, microchipped, and has all needed vetting completed. She is heartworm negative and receiving monthly flea/tick and heartworm medications. She is house trained and loves other dogs, people of all ages and kids especially. She is ... (Read More)very gentle despite her size and really just wants to be with you and be loved! She will require grooming for her long coat. NOTE: She is immune to fencing - underground or above ground. She easily gets out of our 6' high kennel and leaps the 4' high chain link around the yard. She never goes further than the next-door neighbor's yard and gets her treat from the nice neighbor and hangs out with her while she is out in her yard! She needs a farm where she can go places at will and be able to enjoy running around without being fenced in...she does like to be inside during the heat of the day and at night, though! Please contact us about this girl by going to our website at HARTTRescue.org and filling out an application to email back to us. We work with transporters across the nation so we can get her to your location for an additional fee paid to the transporter themselves. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Tennessee
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs.
