Loki is an energetic sweet lab retriever. He like walks, cheese, chasing his ball. He is very timid around grown men. Would be best fitted with a female. If fitted with a maleness make needs to be playful with him and not forceful to gain his trust. He is great around children and other animals. Loki must have been abused before we homed him which would explain his shyness around men. We are expecting a child in a few months and can no longer keep him.

Rescue Me ID: 18-04-08-00028Olivia (female)
We found Olivia through a rescue in August, and she's been a good dog. Shes loving and very smart, but she's just not the right fit for our home due to her energy level and high need for attention. The vet estimates that she was born between March and May in 2017. They also speculated that she's a Belgian Malinois and probably Golden Retriever. She weighs ~45 lbs and has no known health issues. When she was rescued, she'd been living on her own in an abandoned house. She's an outdoor kinda dog, and her lifestyle demands extended access to the outdoors. She is very interested in meeting new people-there's no such thing as a stranger to her, though she does chuff at passers by in front of our home. She's just as interested in other dogs and should do very well with homes that have them. We have an infant, and she does well with her. We haven't seen her with cats but I'd guess that she wouldn't get along with them. She does chase squirrels, birds, rabbits, or anything else that winds up in our back yard. She's extremely intelligent, easily the smartest dog I've owned. But she is also highly independent despite her need for emotional connection. So, we've been able to teach her things-but getting her to do them can be a trick. We do care for her and want to see her go to the right home. You must have a full fence, be willing to walk her at least daily, and have previous experience with high-energy dogs. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-28-00406Chico (male)
Chico is an adult dog with a pink nose and yellow eyes. He is a great dog but he is one who can show dominance with other dogs. He would be best suited in a home with no dogs or at a least senior or submissive dog. He is fine with cats, he only watches them walking around. He loves kids but can be possessive at times. He is great for a single person or maybe an older couple that needs extra security of a larger dog. He is about 75 lbs, heart worm negative, utd on shots, neutered, and no health concerns.

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-21-00079Rose (female)
NAME: Rose AGE: 6 I LOVE: Going for long walks and playing with squeaky toys. I HAVE: a lot of energy, but enjoy lots of naps during the day. I GET ALONG WITH: Dogs my size who are not very active. Dogs that are really active scare me a bit. I prefer to be around older, less active dogs. I have not been around cats or small kids. I KNOW: how to sit for treats and come. I am pretty good on a leash, but still get excited if I see a squirrel or rabbit. A PERFECT DAY FOR ME INCLUDES: A long walk in the morning, napping and lounging inside and some time looking out the window at everything happening. I also like a walk in the evening. I PREFER NOT TO: share my food with any other dogs. IF YOUR FAMILY: needs to leave me at home, I do really well at home by myself. I can spend time in my crate if needed. OTHER INFO: I don't bark or jump on furniture....except the bed at night. Rose's adoption fee is $175. This includes her deworming, dhpp & rabies vaccines, heartworm prevention through date of adoption, flea and tick preventive through date of adoption, spay, and microchip. Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
