|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-23-00582Lacey (female)|
You met Lacey's pups, Rudy, Andy, Holli and Jakey, well, now meet their momma, Lacey. She won't be a momma again! She has been spayed and can now focus on herself and being adorable! Lacey was rescued along with Luke and Zeus and some little tiny puppies. She was pregnant and was a great little mom to her pups. She is ready now for her forever home and a family of her own. She is a little timid, but coming around a little more each day. She is great with children and other dogs. I'm not sure how she feels about cats, but we haven't had any reports that she has been aggressive towards any. Lacey was recnetly groomed and as a flat coat retriever, may need a little more brushing than some other breeds, but look at her -- she is so pretty! Her adoption fee is $150.00. We never do same day adoptions, so please complete an application from our website and email it to us. www.carolinahelpingpawsrescue.org (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-02-00387Lady (female)|
Lady is a sweet little dog who just loves the outdoors! She likes to watch and chase birds and squirrels! She is alert but sweet! No one will ever sneak into your house as long as she is standing guard! Her big girl bark will scare a stranger. She is about 30 lbs, not sure about breed she looks like a Retriever or lab/ pit mix/ jack russel! She is very sweet and does well with children from what I have seen. She loves my 7 year old and gets along well with our male pitbull. Lady wandered into my yard a couple months ago and due to my work travel schedule I cannot keep her. I have been trying to find a home for her with no such luck thus far! If you or someone you know would like to give this baby a good home please contact me (Less)

My wife and I have raised some smaller breed dogs in our lifetime such as our cocker spaniel who passed last summer. But we had some friends whose pure golden retriever and pure German Shepherd had puppies last fall. And, so we took a chance on a larger breed dog even though we have young kids and a very small piece of property in a cul-de-sac neighborhood. We unfortunately think that we need to find Emmett a family who can take care of him better than we can. He is pretty high energy and he probably needs a home with a much larger yard and maybe with other dogs. He is fairly well trained- he will sit and lie down on command and he will come on command and he can shake hands. The retriever in him makes him a bit mouthy, meaning that he wants to chew on something constantly or hold your hand or arms in his mouth, haha. I have been working with him a bunch on this. He has grown up with a cat and he and the cat wrestle and play together all the time, he is never aggressive, and the cat is as much the instigator if not more so. He is just too big for our two kids and too much energy for them and a little too rough with them bc they are small. It's nust his size, he is 80 pounds, my kids are 60 pounds and 30 pounds, 8 and 5 years old. He has never bitten anyone and he is not aggressive at all and gets along with almost all other dogs. He is unfortunately stuck in our house indoors 90 percent of the time and it is really not what he needs. And unfortunately we can't leave him out during the day when we go to work because he is very mouthy and he will destroy something if he is left alone long enough. We gave it a year, and we never thought we would be a family to give up an an animal, so it makes us feel terrible, however it probably is better for him to find some space and some family to really put some love into him. He is really pretty and I will load pictures soon, but he looks just like a yellow lab with a longer face, and he is super strong and fast. He has caught a bird or two mid flight and has grabbed at east one chipmunk that I know of. Call with any questions. Thanks. Also, he has gotten neutered recently, and he is up to date with all vaccines, plus a few extras due to us hiking a lot (vet recommended). (Less)

Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
