|Animal ID: 05-15-27-00228Chako (male)|
Chako is a handsome fellow with his cream, gold and buff color thick, soft, fur and black and grey trim. He is an older gentleman of about 12 years (Senior fee $100.00 could be waived if the right forever family is found) and is not neutered because of medical reasons. He is quite affectionate. He is very smart and learns amazingly quickly! He's mostly deaf but does hear loud noises. Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is proud to rescue dogs in urgent need and also assist local owners who can no longer care for their small breed dog. All our dogs are up to date on their shots and spay or neutered. Most adult dogs are also micro chipped. Our adoption fee is only $250 for puppies, $225 for adult dogs and $100 for seniors. We do require a foster or adoption application for those interested and will visit your home for a meet and greet before releasing the dog to you. You can check out our other adoptable dogs at: http://www.facebook.com/WigglyTailsDogRescue. We are located in Eugene, Or and require a home check so interested adopter's need to be local. We are a foster based rescue and are always looking for good foster homes. Please consider opening your heart and home to a rescue dog in need. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-15-00012Shasta (female)|
Shasta is a ten month old spayed female retriever/chow cross and she weighs 70 pounds. Shasta would love and active family. She gets along with some dogs but as always a meet and greet is recommended if you have other dogs in the home. Shasta is good with children and is learning her leash manners really well. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter, 1420 Brookside Blvd. 1.5 miles off I-5. in Merlin. Oregon. hours: Tues-Fri 10-4pm Saturday 10-3pm. Please visit the shelter or if need special arrangements for meet and greet please email me. If you have a dog- encourage you to bring also. Staff may be unable to answer calls right away, so you may contact me via email if you cannot get to shelter right away! You are encouraged to make your best effort to go during normal business hours. Note: Often times we are asked 'what about cats'?' Please be advised that we cannot guarantee a dog's behavior with a cat; sometimes the dog is fine with a cat- but cat not so happy about his canine intruder! If we know emphatically that a dog could take issue with a cat, livestock or chickens- will be stated in body of biography! Shelter Friends editor is not an employee of the Josephine County Animal Shelter. The editor is a member of Shelter Friends Josephine County an all volunteer not for profit Charitable organization supporting the animals of the Josephine County Animal Shelter. Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
