Hi there. my name is Toodles. I'm about about 1-2 years old and I weigh about 65 lbs. I was apparently dropped off here at the pound. When they got here on Sunday. I was afraid of everyone so I didn't want to come to anyone initially but I did try to break in the gate.. Yep... I wasn't trying to run away.. I was trying to get in! Anyhow.. the ladies that were here ended up catching me and now I'm the sweetest girl ever! I'm very sweet and loving with people and I get along well with the other dogs I have met here at the pound so far. ....So yeah.... that was my original story... this time around it is basically the same thing but this time ... (Read More)the person that adopted me, left me with a family member that was unable to care for me, so now I'm back here looking for a home to call my own. Hopefully one of those 'forever homes' I hear about sometimes! If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. I appear to be in good health.     Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
