|Rescue Me ID: 15-01-23-00118jayma (female)|
Jayma is a 2 almost 3 year old goldendoodle. Despite the doodle name she is not hypoallergenic and does shed some. She is a wonderful dog who loves everyone and everything however she keeps eating my young sons toys. We got her 6 months ago and she was previously an outside dog. She is now house and crate trained, walks on a leash and knows sit and stay. We thought eventually we could stop her from eating the babies toys but we cannot and it is becoming dangerous. She is a doll to be groomed and sits quietly while you trim her nails. She is great with kids but still a little stong on the leash for a smaller child to walk. She wont run out the door but she must stay on a leash or in a fenced in yard for her own safety. Her small rehoming fee will include toys crate dishes and large bag of food. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-01-17-00190Doc (male)|
Handsome shepherd mix, 75lbs, neutered male, 5 yr young. House trained and crate trained, and utd on all vaccines. Heartworm negative and flea free. Very sweet boy, good with adults and children, and good protector. Due to his size we recommend children over the age of 10. Loves car rides and his toys, and has LOTS of LOVE to give. Prefers to lounge on couch while he waits for you to come home. Prefers to sleep with you , but has his own bed just in case. Knows basic commands and a few tricks (sit, shake and speak for a treat!). Lived w/small dogs (JR terrier) in the past Doc is very smart and a quick learner and will do best with a confident leader who is consistent and willing to remind DOC about appropriate behavior in social situations - which he has mastered through training Fenced yard is a necessity! Remember ALL adopted pooches need TIME to adjust to their new surroundings; some adjust faster than others depending upon the breed and their history (which is usually unknown). We always recommend a basic training course to help facilitate the bonding of your 'rescue'. (Less)

Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
