Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Rusty, who is looking for his new furever home through SGF. He is a 30lb, 10 year old dwarf golden retriever (per the vets best guess). Rusty enjoys taking walks, receiving pets, and chewing on toy bones. He is an extremely calm and well behaved dog; he just wants to be in the same room with his people at all times. He enjoys taking long naps either in a dog bed or on the floor, but does not like to sleep in the big bed with his people. He is also great with other dogs, cats, and small children. Rusty does have Cushings disease which requires daily medication and a vet trips annually for testing, but don't let that stop you! You really ... (Read More)couldn't ask for a better companion! Could you be Rusty's forever family? He will repay you with love! Apply at (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-02-00406Dolly (female)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Dolly! She is a 5 year old 65 pound Goldendoodle! She was saved from a puppymill as she was no longer producing. She is a very sweet and a social butterfly. She is not shy and very out going. She is almost 100% house broken. She is crate trained, but honestly does not need crated. She would do best in a home with NO cats and no dogs under 40-50 pounds. She can be very rough with small dogs. Children over 8. She has been Vet checked, Spayed, vaccinated, wormed, rabies vaccine, heartworm tested negative and started on heartworm and flea prevention. Please remember she is a breed that does require a good bit of grooming! Doodles do mat and ... (Read More)require a trip to the groomer every few months. And please remember only a small amount of Goldendoodles are hypoallergenic. Adoption fee is 450.00 to cover all her vet care, remember we do not get free vetting we pay for it out of our pockets just like everyone else. Please email for a application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-05-00268Ruger (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ruger will be 1 year old on the 26 of October, he is about 35#, neutered, utd on vaccines, rabies, microchipped, crate trained, walks well on leash, HW negative, on Trifexis for HW/Flea/Ticks. He is GSD/Retriever mix on the smaller side. He is good with dogs and cats. A fenced yard is a must for Ruger. He was taken in as a pretty fearful boy who had lived outside with his mom and littermates with almost no human contact. He is shy at first but once he warms up to you, he is very affectionate. He sleeps with us all night and stays in bed. We do crate him when we are not home, no use letting him get into trouble. He has been left out a few ... (Read More)times on accident and didn't bother anything. We got him 3/20/16 he was adopted out on 7/15/2016 but returned on 8/19/2016 for bullying the other dog who was very submissive. He gets along well with all the dogs here at the Den, but they really don't let him take advantage of them. So he would need a confident dog friend, not a submissive one. Being young, he needs to learn he has boundaries. He did a foster to adopt 10/08/2016 for 4 days but wouldn't eat and was returned again. He just hasn't found that right fit yet. Adoption fee: $225 If you are interested in Ruger, please email us at for an application. We do No meet n greets without an application first. Thank You. (Less)
