Rescue Me ID: 15-04-24-00318Keno (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Keno. He was in a loving home for 9 long years! He had a mom and human siblings and a dog sibling. Then everything changed. A baby that came into the home was very sick and the family was no longer able to stay in their home so Keno and his dog sibling had to find a new place to go. His dog sibling was able to find a home very quickly. Keno's time was running out and his family was running out of options. No one wanted a 9 year old dog, so they are headed to the pound with him, the only place they could find that would take him. When we were contacted about Keno's fate, we knew there was NO WAY we were going to be able to let this poor ... (Read More)sweet dog be dropped off at the pound where we knew his fate was certain death! Keno is currently living with a foster family... mom, dad, 2 boys and another dog. According to the foster home, Keno is the best dog. He is laid back, walks nice on a leash, house trained, not an issue. He is so awesome that someone is going to have a great pet! Reality is that Keno is older but he has at least a good 4 or more years of life and love to give. It isn't fair that age is deterring people from loving him and wanting him. Please consider opening your home and heart to this great dog. age: 9 years old (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Ohio
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
