    Stark is a 2-3 year old retriever mix who weighs 50 lbs. He ended up at a county shelter when his owner was overseas and his caretaker no longer wanted the burden of caring for another dog. He is a very happy guy who is a quick learner, and very sweet. He has yet to meet anyone or thing that he is not friends with. He is house trained, loves to ride, and is fully vetted.     This is Missi she is a wonderful, loving dog who gets along great with all people and most animals. She has lived with another small dog and a cat (she liked the cat but the cat did not like her). She would love to be adopted by a family with a very large yard so she can run around all day. She is looking for a new home because a new family member is severly allergic to her. She is up to date on all vaccines, is spayed and has no health issues.

    Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
