Please read! After you have read my story, if you are interested in me, please visit my website for further information. Follow the directions and my rescuers will contact you promptly. Thank you. www.breederadoptions.org. HI! My name is Taffy and I am a very sweet Golden Retriever girl who is 3 years old and I weigh 61 pounds. I was in a very bad place where I was abused so some nice people rescued me and took me to a shelter. I displayed some fear of strangers, so no one would take me, and I was going to be euthanized. B.R.A.S. was watching out for me and the next thing I knew, I was in a wonderful foster home. I am still a little afraid of new people, so I would do best in an adult only, quiet home where I will be the center of my new parent's world. If you have the perfect home for me, please ask for me on your application. Love, Taffy 011718-1 (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-10-31-00111LOBO (male)|
LOBO is affectionate, social and active. He wants to be in the company of dogs and people. He likes to carry toys in his mouth or your hand while walking. He has teddy bear fur. He's been great with puppies too! He's been very patient and playful with them. Dogs like Lobo. He is very sweet. We're looking for a person/family who works from home or is home most of the day, or can take him to work with you. And/or someone who is very active with a dog (hiking, exploring, etc). Lobo has two bff's he's fostered with named TAFFY and RED (we would prefer to adopt him together with one of his friends, but it is not a necessity). He is about 2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and crate trained We like to stay in touch with our adopters. We also offer Novice training in Abq. Our process is to start a conversation about this pup via email (DesertPawsNM@gmail.com), online application, meetgreet/home visit with family members (including current pets), trial adoption, stay in touch. We primarily adopt to the ABQ/Santa Fe/Rio Rancho areas. (Less)

Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
