Casey - 5 year old Golden Doodle. Super sweet and outgoing dog. She is a LOVER so if you don't want a dog in your face looking for love all the time, then this isn't your dog! Casey is good with kids and adults. She needs to be spayed and will only go to a home where she gets spayed. She is good with kids but will knock smaller kids down trying to love them! She is devoted and kind always! She is 100% non-shedding. Only interested in normal people contacting me. Serious inquires and NO rescues. We are looking for a loving home not to put them in another cage.

'Chewy' aka Chewbacca: has been a loyal family pet since a puppy, he is a healthy 9yo (10 in Nov). He was part of a first litter and I'm unable to surrender him back to the breeder b/c I cannot locate them (a prof from my college). He loves people, but in recent years has become aggressive to other dogs. (He was neutered late at age 6?) The aggression seems to be specific to small dogs and he has fatally harmed 1. He is obedient with myself and spouse, but not so much with my kids or others (as in 'come' 'drop' etc.) We don't have any other pets and since the incident we have simply avoided interacting with other dogs. I am sure ... (Read More)with the right 'pack leader' he would do well. He is trainable and truly has NO other behavior issues. I must be honest and admit that we cannot adjust to his needs. Neither my husband or myself can be consistent enough to train him as much as we would like to. We both work full-time opposite schedules and I am at grad-school part-time. My 4 children are school-age and in various activities. He loves going for car rides, and when the weather allows - he comes along. BUT it's the variety of settings that would pose such a great risk, so I don't think we have the best environment anymore. I am unable to surrender him to the Golden Rescue group due to his bite history (as disclosed it is with other dogs - not people). We have been unsuccessful with precautions and he again attempted to attack a neighbors small white dog. Unfortunately I have scheduled him to be euthanized in the next few days (Oct 9). A liability release would have to be signed if he is rescued. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Minnesota
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Minnesota if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
