Rescue Me ID: 13-11-07-00559Lil Bear (female)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Lil Bear is a female Lab/Golden Retriever mix born about 11/2010. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She gets along great with other dogs, but has never been around cats so we don't know how she would do with them. She is a bit shy at first so she needs a home without children. Lil Bear belongs to an elderly lady who has a good heart and because of her big heart she has aquired too many dogs. We must help this lady find good homes for some of her dogs so she can get down to a manageable number. Lil Bear would love a home to call her own where she can finally know one on one attention, can you be that home?

Rescue Me ID: 13-05-27-00219Hebert (male)

Golden Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hebert is a male Rottweiler/Golden Retriever who was born about 1/2010. He is up to date on shots and neutered; he is a big boy at about 70lbs. Hebert's owner is no longer to keep him so he is now looking for a new home that knows what forever really means. Hebert does great with other dogs and would probably do great with kids as he's a gentle soul. We have never seen him with cats so don't know how he'd do with them. Can you show Hebert that people do know the meaning of furever?

PIease Read Before Adopting a Golden Retriever in Louisiana
Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
