Animal ID: 14-07-11-00347Big Boy (male)
Great Pyr/golden retriever mix, I've been calling Big Boy (seems to respond to it. Found over embankment off of road. Extremely thin, almost dead when I found him, hit by car, but vet says ok. Treated for hookworms, working on social graces. Vet says in good shape otherwise. The adoption fee covers the vet bill. He seems to really react happily to pickup trucks, kids, and animals. He's a super sweet, goofy boy.

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-26-00557Ruger (male)
I am in the need to rehome my dog. When I got him they said he was a lab retriever mix. Ruger is a GREAT dog but with recent life events, I no longer have the time to play with him and give him the attention he needs. I am asking for a $30.00 rehome fee, only because I want him to go somewhere he will be loved and taken care of. He really is a good dog, he is an inside or an outside dog, but prefers to be inside; he likes to feel like he is apart of the family. I have all his paper work and tags. He is chipped as well.

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-12-00617Snowflake (female)
House trained. Some obedience training. Loves playing ball but not good on coming back with it yet. Loving personality, eager to please. I personally have not had her around children but expect she would be good with them. I think her ideal home would be a single male or female or couple in a home with a fenced in yard who has time and health for training her. She is very smart and learns without treats, just loving reinforcement. Treats help though. Chipped. Had hook and whip worms and severely underweight when I adopted her. As you can see she is well now. She will not integrate with my other dogs. Has been limited to her room, a crate and trips outside for play and emptying waste. She deserves so much more. She was left in a fenced yard without food or water. Thank goodness someone found her. Much of the training had been established before I adopted her. An indoor dog now. I love her but without integration I cannot keep her. Would insist on home visit and meet and greet before adoption. Her blankets, feeding bowls and bed goes with her if desired. Balls too. Some were here already, some bought especially for her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-09-15-00214Daisy Mae (female)
[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Daisy Mae is approximately 13 yrs old and weighs about 55 lbs. She came to us from a very high kill shelter with her best friend, Cecil, who has since passed on. Daisy Mae has issues with her hips and back legs. She has been thoroughly examined by our vet and determined to have suspected previous ACL injuries to both knees as well as possible arthritis in both hips. It was determined by the vet that surgery would be too risky due to her age. Daisy Mae is a trooper and doesn't show signs of pain unless her legs are manipulated. She gets around wonderfully, in fact if given the chance, will bolt off the property. She has some food aggression issues and is best fed separately from other animals. Daisy Mae is good with other dogs and cats as well as our pot beliied pig. She is a happy go lucky girl who likes to know what everyone is doing! Daisy Mae is an indoor/outdoor dog who will require a fenced yard. She does not appear to be house-trained and wears overnight pull ups when inside. She will occasionally let us know when she needs to go out. Daisy Mae is looking for a Forever Foster home or an adopter. If you have room in your heart and home for a very special girl, please consider Daisy Mae. Daisy Mae is current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. Adoption fee $150. Application and home visit required. Bluegrass Senior Dog Rescue recruits individuals to foster our dogs on a temporary or permanent basis. The rescue pays for all of the dog's veterinary care and monthly preventatives for the life of the dog while in foster care. NOTE-Fosters must live within 100 mile radius of Georgetown KY. **Adoption and foster applications can be found on our website BGSDR.com **We are limited to the numbers of photos we can put on each adoption web site. Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
