Jasmine is a ten year old Golden, she is VERY sweet and LOVES children, loves all people, and most other animals, can be aggressive at first with a new dog or cat, but very short lived. I am heartbroken as she is part of the family had her since a puppy, my adult children bought her as a pup and had her, they dropped her at my house and I am moving and cannot take her :( I desperately need a new loving home for her ASAP, I am moving this weekend, preferrably with small children as she loves them and is most happy around them. She is a wonderful dog, loves her belly rubbed and her toys, she is an inside dog for the most part, stays in fenced in yard during the day she does not chew up, or act up, she tends to pee if excited is all. She listens well and is very happy and active, acts like a puppy still (Less)

Bear is a 9yr old golden retriever he has been with the same family all his life he is a huge love he loves attention he does like to run around outside but is very content to lie in the house and just be a part of the room he was brought into our family with a brother but one day when they were a yr old they took off around our area and bear came back but buddy didn't since then bear can be skittish. Buddy was the dominant brother and bear is kind of the Scooby Doo of the two and so he can get a little nervous but when he does he just lies down I'm moving out of Alaska it's a sudden move and do not have the ability to care for Bear and his other family SamSam the Fatman where I'm moving to. Bear loves all living things he lives with another senior dog a one year old dog and two cats one from kitten I would love to find him a home with lots of love (Less)

Golden Retriever Dogs can make good pets in Alaska if they match your IifestyIe. The Golden Retriever is a gundog that loves the water. Originally bred for hunting, Goldens make wonderful family pets. Golden Retrievers are very sweet, patient, gentle, and excellent with children. Goldens are eager to please and respond very well to obedience training. Goldens make good watchdogs but are far too friendly with everyone, from strangers to other dogs, to be used as guard dogs. Goldens need human companionship. They can get into trouble if neglected. This breed is suitable for homes with yards, and needs plenty of brisk daily exercise.
